Fully local
CursorTalk lives in the menu bar, stays lightweight, and starts listening from anywhere with a single shortcut. No browser tabs, no floating recorder, no cloud dashboard.
Set one shortcut, speak naturally, and CursorTalk inserts the final text into the focused app. It is built for the real workflow: code editors, notes, email, docs, chat, and anywhere else you type.
CursorTalk runs a local SenseVoice model through sherpa-onnx. Audio is processed on-device, so sensitive writing, meetings, code comments, and personal notes stay private.
The current local model supports automatic language detection and direct dictation in the languages below.
CursorTalk is designed around the real use case: you are already inside another app, so the product should stay small, clear, and out of your way until you need to speak.
Simple workflow
Allow Microphone and Accessibility so CursorTalk can listen and type into other apps.
Trigger dictation globally from your editor, browser, notes app, or chat window.
Press the same shortcut again and CursorTalk inserts the finished text into the focused field.
